Halloween Bridal Bash
Thursday October, 20st 2011
Wondering what the heck this event is going to be like? Think trick-or-treating meets the lottery.
That's right, come to the event all decked out in the best "bridezilla" you can possibly scare up. Then, get lots of swag by "trick-or-treating" at the Reading Bridal District merchants. If you visit all the listed merchants in the District, you'll get qualified to win a $10,000 Wedding Giveaway! So, come early at 6 p.m. to the Giveaway Registration Tent (located at Benson Street and Jefferson Avenue near the Fifth Third Bank parking lot) to make sure you have plenty of time to register and get around town! City of Reading Mayor Bo Bemmes will draw the winner of the $10,000 Wedding Giveaway at 8:45 p.m. that evening at the Main Tent next to European Bridal, and you must be present to win !!
This will be the biggest Halloween block party in Cincinnati - for both men and women! Benson Street will be closed to vehicle traffic from 6-9 p.m. in honor of the festivities! There will be a DJ, entertainment and dancing at the Main Tent, hors d'oeurves and favors provided by The Reading Bridal District merchants, and drink specials and food/snacks located at the Benson Street pubs and restaurants.
Kenzie’s Closet will also be on hand to collect your gently worn dresses, wraps, jewelry, new shoes and other accessories. Dresses should be in excellent condition, clean, modern and age-appropriate. All fabrics, sizes and colors are welcome! All donations are tax-deductible.
See

for more details.
At 8:15 p.m., come join us in the Main Tent and participate in our costume contest – “Scare up your best bridezilla!” Our costume contest judges, Mayor Bemmes (City of Reading), Amy Storer-Scalia (CincyChic.com) and Tina Minshall (Bridal and Formal Inc.) will award 1st, 2nd and 3rd prizes to the scariest, stressed-looking, over-the-edge, nasty, mean, crazy and ugly “bridezillas”! Dress up and don’t miss your chance to win non-wedding related prizes valued at $150, $100, and $50 in our bridezilla costume contest! The costume contest is open to all, married or single, women or men! Scare up your best bridezilla!
Benson Street will reopen to traffic at 9 p.m. at the conclusion of our event, but feel free to stay and party with us in any of the three Benson Street pubs (Hoops Sports Bar, Foley’s Irish Pub, and Spangler’s Café) until their normal closing hours!
