Don Vonderhaar's Catering
Don Vonderhaar, Sr. bought the small market store from H&G Market in 1969, which is still in existence today and is located at 19. West Pleasant Street in Reading, Ohio. Don, Sr. married in 1970 and decided to cater his own wedding - his first catered event. He started taking requests to cater for family and friends and the catering business took off from there. Since then the business has grown by leaps and bounds. In 1995, Don, Sr. semi-retired and Don, Jr. has taken over the daily operations. Our style of catering has changed over the past 35 plus years. We provide any set up from casual to elegant buffets along with sit-down dinner service as well.
Our business started with approximately 1000 square feet and today has grown to over 12,000. We try to provide a wide variety of menus, striving to meet our customers' needs.
We cater to all types of events and clients including social and corporate events, private gatherings, reunions, company outings and wedding receptions. We pride ourselves in the personal attention we give each customer, along with striving to provide excellent quality food and service.
